The newly established Governing Board now comprises two distinct bodies: the Steering Committee and the Honorary Committee.
The Steering Committee functions as the executive decision-making organ of the association. It is responsible for operational leadership, developing and implementing strategic initiatives, and ensuring the association remains responsive and agile.
The Honorary Committee plays a central and distinguished role in shaping the future of IBDnet. Its members are Prof. Dr. med. Pierre Michetti, Prof. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Gerhard Rogler, Prof. Dr. med. Bernhard Sauter, and Prof. Dr. med. Frank Seibold who all have deep expertise and a longstanding commitment to the field. The Honorary Committee serves as a guiding force, offering strategic counsel and thought leadership on all matters concerning the association’s mission, values, and development. Their insights ensure continuity, uphold institutional memory, and reinforce IBDnet’s reputation within the broader community.
